Washington State Governor Christine Gregoire was awarded
with an honorary degree from Washington State University this past Saturday as
she spoke at the Spring Commencement.
The honorary degree and medallion was presented by
university president Elson Floyd just before Gregoire gave her commencement
speech to a packed Beasley Coliseum.
The governor stressed the importance of people staying true
to their values and gave WSU’s own president as an example.
